Holmatro has selected the Dutch Firefighters Without Borders Foundation as one of their charity partners, in addition to UKRO IDP. The Foundation will receive financial contributions and services worth 100,000 Euro over a period of 5 years, to support the equipment donation and training projects they run in developing countries. Through these projects they improve the level of local fire & rescue services, with the aim to reduce the number of deaths.
On September 28th Holmatro Rescue Equipment Director Bert Willems handed over a symbolic cheque to Firefighters Without Borders Director Alfred Hamers and Board Member Huib Fransen. “We have chosen to support your organization with this amount because in the end your goal is the same as ours”, said Bert. “Saving people’s lives”.
This year Holmatro celebrates its 50th anniversary: a moment to be thankful and give something back to society. In the scope of the company’s ‘Tools for Life Development Program’ two organizations were selected to receive long-term support, UKRO IDP and Firefighters Without Borders.
