At the opening night of the UK Rescue Challenge 2017 in Hull Holmatro announced its support of UKRO IDP with rescue equipment and services worth 100,000 Euro. In a video message Holmatro Rescue Equipment Director Bert Willems praised the organization's work in developing countries. “Saving people’s lives is a goal we have in common.”
In a separate meeting a symbolic cheque was handed over to UKRO IDP Director Stephen Nesbit. In the coming years his organization will receive a substantial number of second-hand Holmatro rescue tool sets for their equipment donation and training programs in developing countries. Through these programs UKRO IDP improves the level of local fire & rescue services with the aim to reduce the number of road deaths and injuries.
This year Holmatro celebrates its 50th anniversary: a moment to be thankful and give something back to society. In the scope of the company’s ‘Tools for Life Development Program’ two organizations were selected to receive long-term support, one of them being UKRO IDP.
